We are planning to go to Jamaica for visa stamping with our 3 year old son... As this is our first time, we have no idea about hotels n their security. We prefer to book a hotel which is walkable distance from consulate. So that, we can go easily with our toddler.Need suggestions/details regarding this. And also, how do you book flight tickets( I mean to&fro together or separately) ? Need details .Please let us know.

Thank you in advance!! We appreciate ur help.

I think I have replied to your post on the other topic :)

But just trying to give you more details as you are travelling with your kid.

You would be going to consulate 2 times to attend interview and to collect passports.

I would recommend you to stay in New Kingston. The taxi takes 10-15 mins to reach the consulate. It is totally safe as you would be booking company taxi.

I would recommend you to take a good hotel in New Kingston as you are travelling with your 3 yr old.

I have read in other topics that few places have problems like water, electricity etc.., Make sure you select the right place.

OK Sure. This might be a bit longer ...bear with me....

Firstly and the foremost thing -- Your Visa interview totally depends on the documentation and also depends on the information that the Visa officer can see in his system about the companies you work for Example: Client Name, Vendor and your Employer History.

When you go for H1 & H4 stamping together, the Visa officer will primarily focus on the H1 documentation and the questions are also more to the primary applicant (H1B applicant).

In our case, the Visa officer told sorry to my wife that she has to wait for me with kid and asked her to take a seat and told her that he has few questions to ask me but nothing to her. He said her he would call her when he needs her finger prints.

Coming to your case....

Going with a changed employer doesn't make any difference with the existing employer as long as you have all required documentation.

Few questions might change in your case like....How long you have been working for this employer? When did you change? Why did you change? How much are they paying you? etc..,

Apart from this the kind of documentation that the Visa officer expects is the same....

About the checklist you are expecting..Your husband should be knowing all the required docs to carry. The only reason I am not giving the list here is because I do not want to confuse you people too much and put stress on you if you do not understand the document name I type here.

Bu don't worry...please ask your husband to check with his peers and other posts. I am sure he knows the list.

All the best and I am sure everything will be smooth for you.
