Succesfull Visa Stamping : Jamaica on Aug 25th 7 am slot

My interview was on aug 25th at 7 am.
This is my first h1b. MS from stratford university, graduated in july 2011.
Travelled to Jamaica on sunday Aug 24th, stayed in liguanea club (friendly and safe env).

 

Families with kids were given high prioroty and good care was taken by the staff at consulate.

 

Jamaica POE:

 

keep these documents handy,
1.passport
2.visa interview confirmation letter.
3.I797A h1b approval document.

 

questions asked,
1.purpose of visit?
2.no of days of visit?
3.please provide the visa conf letter and i 797.

 

stamping :

 

Reached consulate by 6:45 am.
keep the documents handy, they are stapled before we go for security checking :passport, a passport photo & i797a .ds160 conf page

Post security checking, we are directed to first counter where we get the token for interview

prior to interview initial fingerprinting and documents verification (ds160 conf page and i797a) is done. (takes 15 to 20 mins, depending upon no of people present).

 

Now, we are seated for the final inetview and proceed to the counter directed.

ME: Good Morning Sir

 

VO:Good Morning, Please give me your w2, employer letter and paystubs

ME:provided documents, 3 months paystub

 

VO:who is your employer and what do you do?
ME:answered with emp name and brief job responsibilities.

 

VO:Did you do MS in states?
ME:Yes

 

VO:Where and in what field?
ME:Answered.

 

VO:What is your annual pay?
ME:Answered.

 

VO:do you know the employer rights.
ME:YEs, we get this document during fingerprinting and document verification.

 

VO:gave me the documents and said "YOUR VISA IS APPROVED", gave me a red slip and asked me to come on wed Aug 27 at 2 pm
ME:Thank You sir.......Have a Nice day

 

VO:To you too....

 

Passport Pickup:

go half an hour before pickup time, else we are asked to wait outside...(its hot outside!!!)
we need to carry just the red slip given post interview.

 

Miami POE:

keep documents handy,
1.passport
2.i797

 

questions asked,
1.where are you coming from?
2.why did you go to jamaica?
3.who is your employer and what it does?
4.what do you do?

Are you working as a contractor or a full time ?

 

Is the wage on your LCA and the wage on the pay stub are same ? 

i am a contractor. (client-vendor-employer)

 

wage on lca is the least that we are to be paid on h1b. mine is more than mentioned on lca.

So you were just asked if you knew what the employer rights were or were you asked any questions on it.? 

was just asked if i knew them........we get the document in consulate, just go through it. its a basic document with your rights agains abuse, exploitation unfair pay and where to report to..........

As mentioned in the email .... 

 

i also did not have client letter, carried email from manager, lead and two other colleagues from client.

 

Do you have any specific format ? I would also need to get the emails from manager ,lead and other colleagues as well ..
