H4 to F1 Application Filed. College changed

Hi,

 

I am in a situation where the processing of my Change of Status application from H4 to F1 and H1 extenstion of my husband are both underway at the same time. What would my status be in case the H1 extenstion approval comes through after my F1 approval. Would I still hold my F1 visa or would it be reverted to H4.

Your spouse's H1 extension approval has nothing to do with you now unless your H4 extension was filed along with his application. If it was indeed filed and H4 extension approval comes after COS to F1 approval you will go back to H4 status according to last action rule.
