Vigneshwar
Hi, I am planning to go for my H1B stamping this year. I did my BE and MS in Mechanical Engg and I am currently working in an IT job. I have C programming course and lab in Bachelors and haven't done any IT related courses in Masters though I have done a couple of courses where I used MATLAB for programming. I understand that VO asks the following kind of questions:How can you justify your change of background (i.e., Mechanical inMasters to IT job)? Why did you change your background? How is your Masters degree related to your current job? Can anyone please share your answers which you would have probablythought of before your interview? and also Let me know if I need to do anything that improve my chances of stamping like getting certifications etc., I have been racking my brains out on this for a while. I would reallyappreciate your help.Sincerely,Vigneshwar Link to comment

That will be insane and leads to rejection. For H1 approval, you should have 4 yrs of Bachelor's degree, certificates won't help. Link to comment
