Hi Friends,

My H1b visa was approved on July 21st, 2014 (9:30 AM slot). Mine is a 2nd time extension on I-140, and I'm FTE. So it was a straight fwd interview with 2 or 3 questions.

Today is 3rd day from my interview date, but still didn't see any updates regarding Loomis waybill number on my application status page.

Is anybody attended on July 21st, and received their passport ?

Appreciate your help...

Thanks,

Kris

Hi,

I have heard the news of Consular "system crash" and possible delays in issuance of US visas. Per news channels - The system crash occurred July 19th. This information is also listed on Mumbai consulate website under Non Immigrant visa section. But, it is not listed on any Canadian Consulate websites. Is it affecting Vancouver too? Any news or information on that will be greatly appreciated. I have my visa interview scheduled for next week in Vancouver. Please advice.

Hi, Any luck with the waybill # or passport?

This is my situation - I had my interview today - July 24th (10 AM) slot and after couple of interview questions, the VO said because of some computer issues, she cannot issue my visa right now and will try to issue it later in the day, She handed over the CSC/Loomis information and asked me to check with them. she also said if all information provided was correct, i shouldnt have any issues in getting the visa.

Also, when i was waiting in the line, the security checked my DS160 & she said these days H1B takes about 10 days... Not sure how true this information is.

hi Sriram,

Yes, mine is also showing same administrative processing. When I checked in forum usually that is how they update system during application processing. As per forum update in the past it was same for folks who got pp in couple of days.

May  be system crash is true...tkris131

thx....

The Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs is currently experiencing technical problems with our passport/visa system. This issue is worldwide and is not specific to any particular country, citizenship document, or visa category. We apologize to applicants who are experiencing delays or are unable to obtain a passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or visa at this time. We are working urgently to correct the problem andexpect our system to be fully operational again soon.

Thx,

Hi All,

I had my interview on 07/22 and when asked about the plans to travel back, I told the VO that I've already planned to go back to US by the coming Sunday. So, I was given a slip to pick up my passport at 2.15PM on Friday at the US Consulate and they will email me if not processed by then.

Today morning, my contact in US got a call from the consulate saying that the systems are still not working and if I plan to travel, the passport can be picked without the stamp or can be left at the consulate. Either way they will be sending an email, once the systems are up and running to get my passport stamped and I do not need to schedule another appointment for getting it stamped.

Anyways I've been to the consulate today to weigh my options on taking my passport back to leave to my home country. I was taken to the 20th floor again and the officer told me that they are hoping to get the passports out by Monday/Tuesday next week. But if there is a plan to travel, we can choose to take the passports back and get back to the Vancouver consulate 2 days before going to US for getting it stamped (Hoping that the email will be received by then that the systems are up and running).

As of July 27, the Department of State has made continued progress on restoring our system to full functionality. As we restore our ability to print visas, we are prioritizing immigrant cases, including adoptions visas. System engineers are performing maintenance to address the problems we encountered. As system performance improves, we will continue to process visas at U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide. We are committed to resolving the problem as soon as possible. Additional updates will be posted to travel.state.gov as more information becomes available.
