J1 waiver - Alien Registration Number Change

Hello All,

 

USCIS had recently approved my I612 application to waive off the residency requirement and had got a I797 Notice of action confirming the same. I had received a notification today from USCIS that my alien registration was changed relating to my I612 application and that my case is under initial processing.

 

I am not sure whether they have reopened the case again or is it an internal USCIS error or some change has occurred. It would be really helpful for me if the members of this forum could let me know what this change is supposed to mean.
