Impact of Late Tax filing on I-485 filing and processing

I was not able to file the tax returns and extension for Yr 2013. However, will file in a day or two. My i-485 will get applied in few weeks in EB1. Late tax filing has an impact on i-485 or subsequent processing ? Can it cause RFE ?

Why did you not file for an extension? It could have been done online in less than 10 minutes; you have absolutely NO excuse for not doing so. And you intend to file in EB1 which assumes you are exceptionally intelligent.

 

It should create a problem but likely will not be a big deal even if it does.  Whatever happens is because you violated US law. You were an idiot to do so with the IRS; look up AL Capone. If you cannot figure out how to file an extension, you certainly are unqualified for EB-1.
