I-94 Expiring , Passport Renewed

When I came back last month they gave me validity of I-94 Jan'2015 but I have a valid visa until Nov'2015 since my passport was expiring in Jan'2015. 

 

Now I got the new passport , I want to update the I-94 validity . I need some inputs how can do this. Currently I live in Chicago,IL.

 

The nearest border(Canada) for me is Detriot. Could you please guide me what should I do.

 

Do I need Canada visa to enter into canada?

What I should I ask the CPB officer while returning ?

Can I return Immediately after entering  ?

Is there any risk in doing this ?

Thank u for the reply, My I797 expires in 10/2015 and my I94 expires on 10/2014. I have new passport now in hand with 10 years validity.

Just cross the border and get new I94.

Is crossing through Detroit good option ?

I crossed the border through Detroit-Windsor and got the Updated i-94 on paper based and I checked in online it is accessed through online too.

Thank you for letting us know that you were able to get i-94 stamping at the Detriot-Windsor border.

I am in a similar situation where my i-94 expires aug 2014 and i have a H-1B until Nov 2016.

I currently live in Champaign, IL. The nearest border being Detroit, I am thinking about going to the Detroit-windsor border and get a new i-94.

Could you guide me on the following.

1. Which road did you take, ambassador bridge or the Detroit-Windsor tunnel?

2. Do you have the address of the CBP/POE office that you got your new i-94 at?

3. I don't have a visitor visa for Canada as of now. Do I need a visitor visa even to just go to the US CBP at the Detroit-windsor border?. 

I am ready to apply for a visitor visa if required but if that is not required to just visit the US-CBP at Detroit-Windsor border then I could go right away and get this work done. 

Please advise. I very much appreciate your help.
