Two H1-B Petitions - Now changing one to another

Hi,

    Last year (2013) I had two employers (Company-A and Company-B) filed H1-B and both got approved. And I came to US with Company-A I-797 and stamping with 2016 visa expiry date.

 

    Now, I am planning to change to Company-B. Company-B is suggesting to use their old petition which they had applied for me in 2013 and they would do a H1-B ammendment.

    Could someone tell the implications of this.

        1. Is it better to do my existing Company-A H1-B transfer to Company-B?

        2. Or Is it better to do H1-B ammendment of Company-B and use it to join Company-B?

 

    I am sure (from people) that for #1,I do not have to under go stamping until my visa expiry date 2016. Could someone please tell, if I have to go through stamping for #2, if I happen to travel my home country, inspite of having my Company-A visa till 2016?
