airna
My Labor application (am on H1B) was initially denied for the reason of not matching the minimum education requirement. To be specific on the denial reason, the Job Description asked for Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, whereas I had a Bachelor Degree in Arts. But later, my company filed a Motion and my Labor was approved. Subsequently I got my I-140 approved as well. Now, I have got an offer from one of the companies listed on the top end of the Fortune 500 companies. Since the new company will have to re-do my Labor, I am trying to find out if my previous Labor denial history will have any negative role to play in my future Labor and I-140 application processing (by the new company). I would kindly request some expert opinion which would help me decide on this new offer. The period left on my H1 is about an year. Link to comment

airna
What is the requirement of the new job? The requirement says "Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, with X years of experience." Link to comment
t75
"Arts" is a broad term. Expect the same problem and approach to resolve it. Link to comment
t75
BTW, I believe someone without the BS in CS but with most of the classes to be more qualified for most CS jobs than you are with a degree in Arts. Link to comment
