tejan1987
Hello people, I have visa stamping for H1B visa with company A, with which I no longer work. I visited my home country last month and came back to the US. I showed my original I-797A of company B (I work with them now) and the immigration officer at POE detached the lower portion of I-797A (which is I-94) and pinned it to my passport. Question 1: Is this considered as my new I-94 now? Question 2: I may have to revisit my home country and come back next month. If I drop this I-94 in the airport when I leave, what would be my new I-94 after I return? Thank You, Teja Link to comment
hightech
I believe that's not a valid I-94 because that I-797 approved while you were in USA and you didn't return it back when you cross the country. https://i94.cdp.dhs.gov/I94/requet.html 1) Not sure, Look for a new I-94 number from online system on above link. 2) Every time when you cross the country you have return I-94 doc and will get a new I-94.
