Hi

 

1. Is H4 extension required using I539 when filing H1b AMENDMENT?

 

2. Just got an email from H1b amendment from attorney and came to know that only H1b was AMENDED with new I94 (validity till 2015). My wife's extension was not filed and new I94 was not issued. (her current I94 is valid till 2016).

 

   a. If wife's I94 extesion is required, can attorney file it now?

 

   b. Is it better to get a new I94 by crossing border and coming back in such cases?

 

Though I539 is required for H1b amendment and extension, I am not sure in case of amendment.

No need to file a H4 extension for H1B amendment.
