Hi ,

My visa has been approved and stamped on company name A till 2016. I got offer from Company B and they transferred my VISA and I received my I-797 approval and they say I can travel to US without stamping on company name B

  1. Can I travel to US with company name A visa stamp on my passport and company B approval notice I-797, as my VISA stamp is on company name A till 2016.
  2. If I need to travel some time later to India and go back , can I travel on company name A visa stamp and company B approval notice?

Thanks

1. Yes.

2. Yes, as long as visa is valid.

You can always check with an immigration attorney.

Thanks Jai.

Could you please let me know if there will be any risk in terms of immigration check at board of entry?

one of my friend was saying they validate the passport stamping and I-797 and if employer names are different they will ask for more details and sometimes there might be issues like they will deport ?

Thankyou!

As long as you have a valid H1B visa and new employer's valid I797 you should be fine. Since you never traveled to US with your current H1B visa with old employer you can ask your new employer's attorney whether there is a need for new visa stamping.

If you have been already travelled to USA with same situation, can you share your experience at POE.
