You can always check with an immigration attorney. Link to comment
laxmanklx
Thanks Jai. Could you please let me know if there will be any risk in terms of immigration check at board of entry? one of my friend was saying they validate the passport stamping and I-797 and if employer names are different they will ask for more details and sometimes there might be issues like they will deport ? Thankyou! Link to comment

Thankyou! As long as you have a valid H1B visa and new employer's valid I797 you should be fine. Since you never traveled to US with your current H1B visa with old employer you can ask your new employer's attorney whether there is a need for new visa stamping. Link to comment

laxmanklx
Hi, They just checked the latest 797 and visa stamp validity, but did not ask any questions on different employer names. If one is travelling for big firms then there is no issue. Thanks Link to comment
