sidkr
Hi guys, When I last entered US in Feb 2013 I was given an I-94 valid upto Mar 2014 since my passport was expiring then. I was with Employer A at that time. My company got acquired by Employer B in May 2013 and I had to do a H-1 transfer. The I-94 attached to the new I-797 for Employer B has validity upto Mar 2016. Does this I-94 suffice to prove my status or do you think I should go out of the country and come in to get a new I-94 at POE? Appreciate the help. Link to comment
pontevecchio
The new H1 I94 should be controlling. What did HR say when you asked them? Link to comment

Since your new I797 from employer B has an I94 you are in status and there is no problem. Link to comment
rohang
I94 attached to 797 is a valid and works, you dont have to do a round trip just for this purpose. Link to comment
