Stage 3 in J-1 waiver process

Hi, I received the 3 NORI letters from India. Now, I am in the 3rd stage of the waiver process. I need to submit the 3 NORI letters to CGI, Chicago. The question is,

Any one advise me what are all the documents I need to send to CGI, Chicago.

I prepared the DS3035 and got the bar code page which I will be sending along with the 3 NORI letters.  Do I need to send the Original NORI letters to CGI, Chicago? What about passport? Do I need to send it original? Any other documents I need to Notarize and attach with it?

Please advise me. Thanks in advance.

Copy of NORI should be enough.

A non-refundable fee of $20 (twenty) for Stage III.

- If you want to receive the attested documents back through mail, either send a traceable pre-paid return mailing envelope (USPS 'Express Mail' or FEDEX etc.)or enclose a money order/cashier’s check for $20 (twenty) payable to Consulate General of India - Chicago.

Fees should be paid through Money order or Cashiers’ cheque drawn in favor of the ‘Consulate General of India, Chicago.’ Personal cheques, debit cards, credit cards or other banking instruments are not accepted.

Hi, thank you for your response. However, my questions are

1. Do I need to send Original passport or a notarized copy of passport should be fine? Similarly,

2. Do I need to send the NORI clearance certificates or notarized copies of the NORI letters are adequate?

I am waiting to clear this issue so that I can proceed further.

Advise me. Thank you

I am not sure about the passport as I went directly to consulate.

Copies of NORI are enough. No need for a notary signature.

I got the answers while I contacted the CGI, Chicago and when I sent the documents for Stage 3.

It is simple as long as you send the correct set of documents and fee.

Note:

1.The fee is $25 + $3 (updated one as of today Oct 8th, 2013), but not currently updated on website.

2. Copy of Miscellaneous  form. This is the form that you submitted in the very 1st step on stage 1.

Once you receive the NORI letters from 3 places, make the copies of each and notarize them.

Here is the cover letter and attach the documents next to it as mentioned (no staple) and send them by priority mail.

I just got letter from Indian embassy mentioning that my final NOC has been sent to US DOS but the address of US DOS they sent my NOC to does not match with the address DOS asked to be sent on Third Party Barcode Page.

Actually, Indian EMbassy send the NOC to  this address

Department of State, Visa Services, CA/VO/L/W, Room L603, 2401 E Street, NW, Washington DC, 20522-0106,

but on Third Party Barcode Page it says NOC should be sent to this address

Waiver Review Division, U.S. Department of State, Visa Office - CA/VO/L/W, SA-17, 11th Floor 600 19th Street, N.W. Washington D.C. 20522-1711

I just wanted to know if anyone whose NOC that DOS successfully recieved has also the same address mismatch

Thanks

Jairichi...I asked this to Indian consulate office, they also mentioned 2-3 week time. I am wondering why it takes so much of time when they have to just pass on the same Final No objection statement to DOS.Any idea why?

Secondly, after this how much time it takes in reality to get the final wavier in hand?

They have work other than working on NORIs. And, these correspondences get sent to embassy or DOS on specific days and not everyday.

A month probably or more after DOS forwards to USCIS.

Hi Chacmool,

I am also applying for the J-1 Waiver and the same question i also have regarding the different address on NOC and Third Party Barcode. You asked this question in October 2013 so i assume that you know by now if it has been issue or not. I'll really appreciate if you can please let me know so that i stop worrying about it.

Thanks,

Atish

Hi, I am on J1 Visa and applying for waiver, I started my stage 1 and Stage 2 with my DS2019 validity up to June 2019 and now applying for stage III with a new DS2019(Extended) with same program and savis ID. Do I need to send copy of both DS 2019. I have been issued 4 DS2019 in 3 years from 3 different universities, do I need to send copy of all DS2019 issued to me or just the latest one.

Thanks
