Traveling to india close to H1B stamp expiry date with approved petetion

I have valid visa stamp till august 5th, 2012 and approved H1B petetion till 2014. My stamp will expire on august 5th and I have to be in india on august 2nd night. Can I re-enter US so close without going for stamping? Is it advisable?

Any information and clarification regarding this is very much appreciated.

I have valid visa stamp till august 10th, 2014 with XXX company, now i changed to YYY company. I have plan to travel India in july 2012. i have valid I-797 from from YYY company till 2013.

My situation is do i need to attend again Visa interview in India with new I-797 form got approved from YYY company????

It is not advisable though certainly possible. You can enter anytime even a few minutes before the visa expires. But what happens if the planes are delayed?

Ordinarily you do not need a new visa.
