Waiting on fingerprinting for AP

Hi,

My laweyer applied for my I-140, I-484 & AP together at the same time last week. I have to leave the US before May 30th. My lawyer said I have to do biometric (fingerprinting) before I leave in order to get my AP later on while I am abroad. Otherwise, I have to make a choice to go or not!. Could you please give me some more information on this? I am hearing different things... some people say fingerprinting doesn't have anything to do with AP but others say since your lawyer applied everything together then you need biometric for AP??

It is generally not recommended to leave the country while the EAD/AP petitions are in progress.

If you leave the country, your I485 will be considered abandoned.
