PSEB3
Hi - I have an AOS pending under EB 3 for and my priority date just became current - both me and my wife received an email saying USCIS has mailed us an RFE notice . We are moving by the end of the month , what should I do if we don't receive our notices by July 31st . Apparently the post office will not forward mail from USCIS to the new address with an address change . I went to the local USCIS office and they asked me to call the 1800 # and have them send another one regardless to a new address . I dont know if the 1800 # folks will even care for my call . I will try but want to have a plan B Many advise for me? Link to comment
sjala
If you are moving within US, you can submit address change to post office along with move date. Any mails after that will be forwarded to new address by USPS. If you are moving out of the country I don't think USPS forwards. USCIS mails are critical ones, you need to manage to receive it by all means. Any delays will all add up further. Good luck! Link to comment
pontevecchio
You can set up hold mail for say 3-4 weeks from the month end and collect the mail at the end of the 3 -4 weeks by which time the letter would have certainly arrived. Link to comment
directory0818
If you are renting your place, best is to spend few dollars extra and convince your landlord to extend your stay for another 7-15 days. Explain your immigration problem. All are humans and would surely understand the problem. I hope you receive your rfe letter. Good luck! Link to comment
