Drop Box eligibility and process time

Hi , Little background 

- I have valid H1 Visa stamped  until AUG 2017 from Employer A. I got it stamped In 2015.

- I switched employer (B) and have valid i797 until 2018 Dec .

- My passport got renewed last month Jun 2017 .

If I go to INDIA do i need to go for Interview or Am I eligible for drop box ?

Yes, you are eligible for drop box unless you have annotation "CLEARANCE RECEIVED" on your current visa. You can check the eligibility conditions on ustraveldocs portal. Have an extra buffer time when you apply for visa. You never know if you would be called for an interview after submitting documents via drop box. Apply well in advance. All the best.
