Re-enter with EAD-AP, working outside US

Hi,

I have valid EAD-AP (pending I485, EB2) and valid H1B too. I moved withing my company to Germany in May. Pending I1485 is also with the same company. My company has not officially withdrawn H1B but I'm sure it's not valid anymore as I don't work in US.

I'm traveling to US for official visit to the company (conference). The question is:

1. Can I travel to US because I have valid EAD-AP card? Or do I now need to apply for visitor visa?

Concerns:

> Since I'm not working in US, EAD-AP based on I-485 is not valid? From my understanding Green Card is for future employmenet.

> Since there's huge wait for Green card, I got this opportunity to work in a different business and my plan is to work 2 yrs and return to US when Green card process becomes current. Can I explain this if asked? I'm working in the same technical role/job description.
