Nanavati
Hi, I apply my H1B extension on April 1st week in normal processing. USCIS in Nebraska got my application on April 17th 2017. Now they transfer my case on California jurisdiction on June 12th. So now when i will get my extension approval?? do i have to count from june 12th or april 17th?? Right now USCIS website show that they are working on March 2nd application. Can you please advise if they count my application received date from april or june. I ave H1b till july 30th so can i work after that if i don't get approval. - thanks. Link to comment
pontevecchio
They are probably doing what they call load balancing and sending cases from very busy centers to relatively less busy centers. Based on the appropriate extension filing, you have 240 days to continue working. Link to comment
