DeeptiK Posted June 20, 2017 Report Share Posted June 20, 2017 Hello, I am on L2 visa and currently working based on EAD card. The current visa and EAD both expire in 27 Oct 2017. Me and husband both are travelling to Canada in September for L1-L2 extension. My question is, can I apply for EAD renewal before the travelling to Canada? If yes, what document can I submit? Or do I have to wait for stamping and then apply for EAD renewal? If that is the case, EAD renewal takes 3 months. So will I be able to continue working after October (expiry of current EAD card)? pontevecchio Posted June 21, 2017 Report Share Posted June 21, 2017 No straightforward answer. Lowkey it with your HR and if they are confused keep working. Penalties are for the employer and the next time you leave and come back the status disappears and you are fine. Link to comment
