My H1 transfer got approved and my joining date is July 3rd. The new employer's attorney says that I can't work at my current employer from July 3rd since she applied for a portable H1 transfer.What does this Portable H1 transfer mean and can I postpone my start date and continue working with my current employer?

Please Advise  !!
