Carrying laptop in emirates flight

Hi There

I have a planned round trip to India from US in next month, how safe it is putting laptop in check-in baggage?

below is the link for separate laptop packing for emirates flight passengers  at the time of boarding, any one gone through it, how was the service? Please help me with your suggestions?

You do not seem to have a choice. Just make sure you have a backup in the cloud and in a portable HD. From all accounts the packing is secure.

For travel from or through certain airports you absolutely have to put laptops in checked luggage. There is no choice. You would not be allowed boarding with a laptop in carry-on. US regulations.
