Hi There

I am in US and going to Mexico for visa stamping on Wednesday . In DS-160 i filled one question wrong by mistake.

The question was Q) has any one filed for your immigration petition .

My employer filed for I-140 which is still under processing.

By mistake i answered no.

what should i do . please any one with similar situation answer me as soon as possible

Fill a new DS160 and take the new confirmation with you along with the old one. They can update the new one just before the interview.

You can also call the mexico consulate and check with them. you will find the contact details on the site where you booked the appointment. you can also check with the consulate team if you go a day before your interview date. But, fill the new DS160 before you go to the interview. It might take a day for actual submission.

Hi All

I got my visa stamping done successfully yesterday. My employer told me that its not a problem if you filled it wrong . Just update to the interviewer at the start of the interview before anything is asked . I just followed him and the interviewer felt happy , she corrected it and got my stamping done.
