PERM approved (EB3). Minimum IT offshore experience required to file I140

PERM went into an audit in March 2015. I returned to India in June 2015, a month before completion of 6 year H1-B tenure. PERM was approved in Jan 2016. To file I140, Attorney asked for minimum 3 years of IT experience in offshore before entering USA for the first time on H1-B petition. I had only 2 years and 9 months. 

I could not get the IT experience letter from previous employer to bridge the 3 months gap. 

I am in India with the same employer who filed PERM. Am I still eligible to file I140 on the approved PERM ? What should I do now?

Get a letter from your colleague who worked with you or request a letter from your previous employer requesting that you need it for your h1b
