Can H4 dependents travel to US when my H1B extension and amendment is in progress

Hi,

My dependents are travelling to US in the next week 25th June 2017. My employer is going to file my H1B amendment and extension tomorrow (June 13).

By the time of H4 dependents Journey, I might not get the receipt notice. Will they face any issues during the port of entry because of this ?

Can you please suggest me, what are the documents they should carry.
