H1b 7th year transferring to new employer

Hi,

I am in 7th year of h1b my I 140 approved  with company ABC, my wife in H4 ead.

I got a full time offer from company DEF.

my question is how this will work,

1) if I move I need to start GC process within 6 months, if company DEF don't fill gc with in 1 year what will happen.

2) can my wife still continue using old I 140 to get extensions for her H4 ead.

3) I need to file my h1 and H4 extensions within 3 months, is it safe to move new company or do my extensions with old company.
