Hello,

I am currently on H1b visa and the stamp on my passport has expired but I do have valid I-797 aas well have a valid DL. But, my children are younger so they currently do not have driver license, but both have valid I-797. So, when traveling to puerto rico they will need to use their foreign passports, will there be any issue when coming back to the USA from puerto rico? Which documents should I bring?

Thank you!

Puerto Rico is part of the USA. Its like travelling from California to New York.   As there are many sudden check going on even while travelling. it would be recommended to carry your documents all the time. Passport is required for kids, currently according to your messages as that the only valid document to show the proof as their identity.  I would also suggest , you to carry your passports also, as certain states does not accept Driving License as proof. so just as backup carry the passport and supporting documents.
