Lakshmi6
I Have a tricky situation travelling to INDIA to get my H1B stamped. I have F1 stamped until DEC 2018 and status is h1b since oct 2016. I'm heading to India for stamping in June 2017. Can someone please explain how my F1 visa stamp will be considered valid even though I'm on h1b currently? I'm worried about this as I'll be flying shortly through PARIS(FRANCE)the layover in France is 2hr30min and my Air France ticket is non-refundable : The term "valid US visa" confuses me a little as I have changed my status from f1 to h1. Since I am no longer on f1, does my f1 visa stamp (which expires in DEC 2018) count as valid? When I was going through multiple blogs I read they really look for is a valid visa stamp in which case I am good to go without the transit visa . Please help with this situation I'm really confused here. Any suggestions on this is really appreciated. Quote Link to comment
rksingh
The best way to really make sure is to contact Air France as they have final say on whether they will board you or not at your starting destination in US. Edited May 21, 2017 by rksingh Quote Link to comment
