Transfer after i94 expiry

Hi,

My H1 is expiring june 17 and company has already filed my extension in normal processing which might take 6 months. I am planning for job change and might take couple of months to get an offer. If I get an offer after June can I transfer my visa after i94 expiry? if yes then how much it is risky to join next employer only by transfer receipt no. without waiting for extension approval? your advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am also in a same situation. My H1 is ending on Nov-1 2017 and my employer has already filed extension. I am expecting multi offer but H1 transfer approval may not be possible with in Nov-1 since premium processing is suspended. Do I have to leave US post Nov-1 if the transfer petition is still pending or 240 days would apply to me as well?
