UM10
I am currently on H1B VISA & going through the PERM process. Last night my friend was arrested for not paying multiple driving tickets & failing to appear in the court. I had to pay the fines in cash bond( $900) to get her out of jail. Will this show in any negative sense on my record? Could this affect my entry into the USA anytime or my Greencard Process? She is set to go to court in 2 week. What happens in case she doesn't show up, will i be held responsible in any form? Link to comment
JoeF
It won't affect you. If she doesn't show up, you lose the money. Link to comment
UM10
Thanks for your reply JoeF. Do you think I should inform my employer about this or this is irrelevant? Link to comment
ajaysharma
@UM10 It's irrelevant - has nothing to do with you. Don't need to tell anyone, it's you personal business helping a friend. At worst you'll lose that money because (a) your "friend" won't turn up or (b) will turn up but never repay you. Link to comment
