planning to switch on ead

PD is 2009 and got ead and ap in 2011. planning to switch job on ead,
When PD becomes current for green card processing can I do it on my own thru Attorney or have to be dependent on same employer who filled my green card?
Does the employer who filed my green card has any skin in the game after I quit him ?
If i m on ead and loose job will it cause any out of status issue for green card

You can file AOS on your own or through a lawyer. You can use AC21 to change jobs in the same field and there may be more paperwork involved nowadays. Your GC Sponsor  is not in the picture now.
