Preeti_123
I recently got my GC since I was married to a US Citizen. Is there a way that I can adopt my Newphew as my son and bring him to the United states? We were looking to adopt someone from India and thought why not we adopt your own nephew? Any info is appreciated. Thanks Link to comment
pontevecchio
Only citizens can adopt from abroad. It may be possible for you. Give the firm of Murthy a call and they will give you other options if they do not deal with this matter. Good Luck. Link to comment
JoeF
It is pretty much impossible for an LPR to adopt from abroad. The person has to live with the adopted child abroad for 2 years before an immigrant visa could be applied for the child. But an LPR has to live in the US...
