Punith
Hello, I am currently on H1B visa and my Green Card process has been initiated with my I-140. I would like to know if I can apply for another country's Permanent Residency(PR) like Australia? Will that effect my current green card process? Thanks. Link to comment
JoeF
You can. But, when the US GC is approved you will have to give up other permanent residencies, because you are supposed to live in the US. People have gotten into trouble at the US border if they are US LPRs and have permanent residencies from other countries. Link to comment
pontevecchio
It would take him a decade to get the GC assuming EB2. He will likely be an Australian citizen in 3-4 years and will be applying for the GC as an Australian Citizen. Link to comment
