Back in the US after an India trip (on H1B visa)

Not seeing enough posts from people who came back without any issues, I wanted to share my experience. My H1B is valid until Oct 2019 and it was already visa stamped last year in Nov (from Calgary). I went to India for a 4 week trip and came back few days ago. The questions Immigration Officer asked me were:

Where am I coming from?

How long did I stay there?

What do I do?

How much USD currency am I bringing back?

Officer was not friendly but wasn't disrespectful either. No documents were asked. POE was IAD (Washington DC).
