GC filing with 7 months on H1B

Hi Team, My 6 ears on H1 completes on 6th November 2017. What is the possibility of my GC filing now ?

Also, would it help if I travel back to my home country (india) to save some time on my current H1B and then come back on a different project when my company is ready to file GC? I will of course look for a surety from my employer to file GC with the new project before moving back.

Also, what are the other options to continue staying in US?
