Travelling on visitor visa when Green card is in process

My parents have a valid visitors visa that expires in 2022. Currently their Green Card is being processed. Mom got her I-130 approved  and is waiting for interview with a US Consulate in India. Dad had to respond to a Request for Evidence and is waiting on I-130 approval. 

I am currently pregnant and expecting my baby in a month. Our lawyer is advising against my parents traveling to the US on visitor visa while their Green Card is being processed. I need my parents for help with the  delivery. Should they take the risk of traveling to the US in this situation? Is there a chance they might get turned away at the airport and that may affect their green card process?

I would strongly suggest that you follow the lawyers take specially in view of the climate of hostility we come across nowadays. The worst case scenario would be denying them entry.
