Process for sponsoring Greencard for my spouse

I have my citizenship and I want to sponsor Greencard for my husband who is on EAD (thru H1). I have few questions:

- What is the process. Like what forms should I be filing.

- How long does it take

Thanks for the link, that's helpful. I got my GC a month ago. My girlfriend is on H1B. We plan to get married soon. After that, I will file the I-130. My question is, after filing I-130, if my wife loses her job, can she stay in the country as a dependent? (The only dependent visa I am aware of is H4, but that won't be the case since I am on H1).
