I94 for Closed Loop Cruise

I am currently living  in Texas on H1B visa  and planning to take return cruise trip from Galveston, TX to Cozumel Mexico.

Below are my H1B details:-

 

Currently I have valid Visa till March 2018 from previous employer in my passport . On my last trip to India , I got truncated I94 till October ,2017 as per my passport expiry. After that I applied and got new passport .

 

Also last year I changed my H1B employer and have I-797 petition approved with new I94 till September ,2018.  So I have below queries , It will be great help if you can respond to them:-

 

1.       Can I take cruise trip with my Visa scenario?

2.       Will I get new I94 on re-entry in US ?

3.   In case I don't get new I94 , Will Automatic Revalidation apply will override my latest I94 from I797 approval and reset it to October,2017?

AVR means you reuse your last valid I94 which would seem to expire in September, 2018. Discuss your situation with the cruise line. Since you have a valid visa you can enter Mexico.
