sisb
My H1 Extension was applied on Aug 2016 with I94# (XXXXXXX39). I have traveled outside US after filing my H1 Extension in Sep, Nov, Dec 2016, and my latest I94# is (XXXXXXX85) and is tagged to my NEW passport. My H1 Extension is approved in Jan 2017 and I797 document displays my OLD I94# (XXXXXXX39) from Aug 2016 instead of current I94, that is (XXXXXXX85). Please suggest: 1. Is it legal to stay in US with H1 extension approval / 797 document having old I94#(XXXXXXX39), instead of new or current I94# (XXXXXXX85)? 2. If any one checks my latest I94# (XXXXXXX85), if my stay is extended? then my stay was extended on my OLD I94, is that a problem? Link to comment
