H1B I94 was not updated in I94 online

Hi

i have applied H4 EAD for my spouse, but it was declined due to the my Online I94 was showing L1 status. When I entered into the usa, I had L1B and  applied H1B through my employer and got picked and approved. But my online I94 still shows L1b, that's why my spouse H4 EAD got declined as per declined reason. Could you please guide me how to approach this case?. And how can I change my online I94?

You cannot change online I-94. You have to go out of country and come back to update that. If you have a H-1 approved, that shud have latest I-94. Take help from attorney and file a motion to re open.
