mikem10
My H-1B started on 10/2011 and hence the normal 6th year ends on 10/2017, though my current H-1B doesn't expire until 2018. I have a previously approved I-140 with a priority date in 2013 from an earlier employer, and when I did my H-1B transfer last time to my current employer my priority date was not current and hence I got the three-year extension at that point and hence the 2018 expiry date. Now, I'm transferring again to another employer. Given my PD is current now, what would be the new H-1B end date I shall expect to get? Link to comment
Indian_TX
it depends on many things like, is your new employer direct client ? if no, what kind of MSA with client do your employer have ? etc., also don't take it granted that your PD will be there forever...retaining PD is at discretion of the officer...rules can change any time please refrain from too many transfers during one of these days is my personal advice.
