Local USCIS office delaying GC interview

hello
- our EB3 GC priority date is Feb04 and now our files are in local USCIS Washington Fairfax office.
- local office have been telling us from 8 months that they need an interview to move GC forward but so far have not yet scheduled.
- in this Jan they said that they initiated a interview request in Nov but so far no interview letter from them
- our priority date is way past due, currently they are processing Mar05
- we contacted Senator and Ombudsman and they both have responded that we should wait for local office to schedule the interview.
- what are our options to move this forward ? this seems to have hit a dead end.

Discuss the matter with the firm of Murthy and see whether a writ of Mandamus is necessary.

Thanks Pontevecchio. Does writ of Mandamus have any negative effect on the case. Does it anger the processing officers to cause it further delay or any other repercussions ?

It is not possible and illegal for citizens of this country to react in the way you describe which is possible in countries yet developing. FIRST discuss the matter with the firm of Murthy and take it from there.
