H1 B Dropbox Query

Hello,

 I had dropped my passport on Dec 26th at VFS office which sent my passport to Hyderabad . My previous H1 B which was valid from 2013 - 2016 was stamped in Hyderabad , this time I was renewing my H1B  . From past 3 weeks my passport status showed "still in consulate" and hence i inquired through an email to consulate . They replied saying its in 221g  which is very unusual , since my 1st H1 B didnt go through any 221 g steps.

 

I am curious how long this administrative process will go . Please update if any personal experiences seen or with any suggestion.

Very sorry to hear that it's now in admin process, can you provide some more additional information.

Are you a consultant or Full-time employee? I wish you good luck.

Hello Sid,

Can you please give some background about your job profile..are you a direct employee, contractor, etc... Also, 221g is usually issued if your work falls under Tech Alert List (TAL)
