name change
I was arrested for Domestic in 2003 Violence on my spouse (Colorado Code § 18.2-57.2) - Assault and battery against a family or household member). I went through court trial. Judge differed disposition of my case and told me that I need to go through anger management for 10-24 weeks with six months of probation and my case is dismissed. i Completed Anger Management classes, observed good behaviour and did not fall in any other trouble during next two years. my case was dismissed, I have shifted to India 3 years back, and i recently went to USA on B1 Visa i had no problem in port of entry now as per astrology, but they put me in waiting area for 1 hour and checked my details. i was in financial troubles and i could not pay one credit card which was around 2000 $ my question: i am planing to change my name in India (Passport,Aadhar,DL,VoterID,PAN Number, name in bank accounts and credit cards) how does its going effect my arrest in USA, and non payment credit card. can i change my name ? pontevecchio
Changing your name is your business. In the western world there is no debtors prison and debt is a civil matter. Your name change will not affect your legal troubles as you will be fingerprinted. Link to comment
