221 g Montreal

Hi My H1B visa interview was on 22 September at Montreal and I had got 221G (Administrative processing white slip). It’s been more than four weeks now and I have still not heard back. Any advice and any similar experience?

This is my 7^th year on H1B and I had H1B stamp 5 years ago in India

Here is my interview experience.

Que 1: what is your job title.

QA engineer

Que 2: VO ask for my resume

I provided my resume

Que 3: VO ask if I study in USA

Yes, I did my master from XXX university

Que 4: VO ask if I did any research or publish any paper

No, I didn’t not publish any paper.

VO said , if you have done master and still not published any papers. How can that be.

He said we need to do administrative processing and it will take 3-6 weeks and gave me white slip.

 

 

If anyone in the same situation and in Montreal or Ottawa please let me know

Hey, I am here for over 4 weeks. Any update on your status?

My interview date was on 11oct16, I submitted my passport on 02Nov16 and they received it on 04Nov16.

It's been 4 business days,  still haven't heard anything from them..

Can you please update me on your status?
