rit Posted September 21, 2016 Report Share Posted September 21, 2016 My OPT is valid till 2017, My H1-B was approved this year. is it possible to travel on September 28th and return to US on October 4th with my F1 status? is it possible to abandon my change of status. What happens to my SEVIS on October 1st ? Will i be allowed at port of entry with valid unexpired OPT ? Link to comment
pontevecchio Posted September 22, 2016 Report Share Posted September 22, 2016 It is most likely that your SEVIS is terminated if the H1 was approved with COS. Go and speak to your DSO today and find out SEVIS status. Link to comment
