H1 Visa appointment question

Does anyone know or have done this ? 

1)My H1 amendment petition is pending but can I book for visa appointment date with my H1 Extension's START DATE and END DATE and come back later and edit them after my amendment gets approved.I dont want to lose appointment dates waiting for amendment approval. 

2)Can I fill just the first one page of DS-160 and save it and use that confirmation number to book visa appointment date and edit it later. 

I know the general rules but just want to know if anyone has done it without any hassle

When u go for finger print .u can ask

To make necessary changes on ur appointment with latest h1 amedended approval dates

@kalyan: I think I can click "update profile" on cgifederal website for visa appointment and can change ds-160 conf number or petition number or start date or end date ..

 

second thing is I wont submit my DS-160 till I get my amendment .I will use the same applicatiion ID for booking appointment and can update profile if needed in cgifeferal website..

 

correct me if I am wrong because I am just assuming this can be done..thanks a lot

when you go for FINGER PRINT Appointment. u can ask them to may be use new DS160 from details.

 

they will do it for u.
