H1B stamping, Appointment availability

Hi,

I am looking for dates for H1B stamping preferably in Chennai or Mumbai. 

The website (h**p://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-waittimeinfo.asp) says a date in Mumbai is available after 80 days and in Chennai after 120 days. 

 

Questions:

1. I need to get the stamping done in 2nd or 3rd week of Sep. What can I do?

2. How do I get to know if empty slots are available...?

3. I need to get my family's passports stamped too for H4. Can I just take their passports with me or they need to be present in person (this is first time for all of us)

 

Please share if you have any personal experience. Appreciate all advice.

Everyone needs to be present at the consulate for getting stamped. For dates, you need to keep on checking daily.
